Reviews of Books by Carole Matthews
Carole is a great author. Her books will make you smile and
make you want to sob. She'll evoke emotions in you as you become
embroiled in her characters lives.
I am a big fan of Carole Matthews. Her writing is bright and energetic
but she leads you carefull through the plot twists and turns and
there's always love and romance tucked in there somewhere.
The Chocolate Lover's Club - this is a great read and provides
you with an excuse to want chocolate! The story of some friends
who have problems and how those problems are overcome but at the
same time the comfort comes from the friendship and the shared love
of chocolate. The story is great but as you near the end of the
book there's a few unfinished threads to the story and you're left
hanging wanting depserately to find out how it all ends and whether
they manage to resolve all the issues they have
There is a sequel to the chocolate lover's club!
This is the Chocolate Lovers' Diet
The feisty members of THE CHOCOLATE LOVERS' CLUB are back in a
mouth-wateringly delicious new novel.
Lucy Lombard thought her ‘Happily Ever After’ was all
sorted when her gorgeous boss finally declared his love for her,
but when she catches him in bed with another woman it’s time
to call an emergency meeting of The Chocolate Lovers’ Club.
Inevitably, she’s not the only member with problems –
Autumn, Nadia and Chantal all find themselves with dilemmas to face
- the question is how much chocolate will it take to make it better...
A
good guage of how well written a book is, is how you feel whilst you're
reading the book. Do you care about the characters? Do you cry when they
are hurt? Do you wish you could shout out to them? When you feel empathy
with the characters it's because they've been made real by the quality of
the writing.
